Castleblayney is to be the setting for an exciting new project whereby five community gardens are to be set up in different locations around the Castleblayney area.
The project will be based at Íontas and is funded by the Monaghan CDB Peace III Peace & Reconciliation Partnership. The aim of the project is to promote peace and reconciliation via the concept of sustainable living. The project is actively seeking participants.
Those who wish to engage in peace and diversity training as well as learning sustainability & gardening skills should contact Martin Duffy (Project worker) at 042 9753400 or email martin@iontascastleblayney.ie.
The project was officially launched on the 9th February by Michael Kelly from GIY Ireland & Sylvia Gordon of Groundwork Northern Ireland.
